New Harvest Church is able to operate because of generous people. We have come to understand the biblical principle of “stewardship”, where it is required that we are to be faithful with that which has been entrusted to us (1 Corinthians 4:2). Knowing this biblical mandate, we strive to be faithful with all generous resources given towards New Harvest Church.
E-GIVE was put forth as a “tool” for those individuals and companies who desire to give responsibly their tithes and offerings to New Harvest Church via a credit card, rather than giving through more conventional ways of mailing a check or giving the tithe and offering during our normal worship service on Sunday mornings. We have brought E-Give to our members because more families are using these on-line tools to do business in this ever-increasing technological world. The purpose of the program is not to encourage debt, but is available as a convenience to those who want to use their credit card responsibly for tithes and offerings given to New Harvest Church.
Lastly, we also believe there is biblical precedent for the tithe to help support the church. As stewards or managers of the money God owns (1 Chronicles 29:11-12), the monies we receive go towards funding the mission of New Harvest Church which is “Making Disciples of Jesus Christ that Make Disciples”. We utilize a Financial Health Team comprised of church members and staff to provide financial oversight as well as recommendations to the Elder Board on all aspects of Church finances. This financial oversight helps to hold accountable the allocation of these resources at New Harvest Church. We want to thank you for your generous support!
